So after all of the waiting we have finally arrived and our first day is nearly over! Everything so far has ran smoothly which has helped to keep us all calm. We have met many lovely, helpful people who have helped us arrive and feel at home in our halls of residence. We met with our mentor today and collected our Budapest student cards and collected our timetable for the next 3 months!

After only one day I feel like I have achieved a lot. We are beginning to get familiar with the transport system, which is a lot different from back home! We are mainly using the tramline where trams come every 2 minutes!

We have been trying to use as much Hungarian as we know when ordering food and talking to people, although it is slightly embaressing as my pronunciation is terrible!

I am very excited to find out what the next few days have in store for us!!
